Tacky Tourist Party 2009 It's that time of year again. The weather is getting hotter, the beaches are getting crowded and the sunscreen is on sale...that means it's time for the annual tacky tourist party! Come join the spirit of cigar city Krewe, Krewe of Charlotte De berry, Krewe of St. Florian, Krewe of Brigadoon and the Krewe of mustang sallies for our 2009 tacky tourist party! We're heading back to Channelside in downtown Tampa for the party. The 2009 Tacky Tourist Party will span 3 bars, Margarita mamas, Banana Joe's and Lucky's Bar. Each Krewe has selected a "destination" and will have appetizers, drink specials and raffles at each stop for you. The fun starts at 6:30pm and tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. All proceeds raised will benefit he ronald mcdonald house here locally. Tickets will be available at the June 10th general Krewe meeting. The Krewes will be competing for your passports and support. At stake is a trophy and the title of "Tampa's Tackiest Krewe". The winner is based on the number of pre-sale tickets sold, the amount of money raised by the raffle and the number of passports turned in at the end of the evening. "Tampa's Tackiest Krewe" for the last Tacky Tourist Party was the Spirit of Cigar City krewe and they are looking to retain that title. So come out and support your favorite Krewe. |
